Oh. One other thing. If you guys ever have kids, and one of them, when he's eight years old, accidentally sets fire to the living room rug... go easy on him.

your mother's anus.

PUTT IS OUT!!!!!

Posted by Codes5 - November 8th, 2024

My first major project is finally out on itch.io, I wish I could've uploaded it on here but it's a gamemaker 8.1 file so it would've been hard to do, it's nothing crazy but it's the first project I'm excited to release publicly, thanks for the support!

tis a shame you didnt upload it on ng....

Gamemaker 8.1 doesn't have HTML support :.(

ok, i played your game for a little, its generally not too bad, but i feel like its a little too fast, and the randomly generated blocks can be unfair at times, but also id reccomend more explanation, like when the level ends in story mode, and is there even a cutscene when you beat the first level? its fun, but also some general how to play or more custom backgrounds, something more interesting for the level design. it is quite fun tho and not too bad for a first game! i hope to see something even better as your next project.

Yo! sorry I couldn't respond I've been busy for the past two days, but yeah I agree with the criticism. The game is actually about Putt going through a strange purgatory that's reminiscent of Atari games/ bit . trip style of art, so that's why it looks like that. The story is only one level essentially a mini campaign, I always wanted an endless mobile game to have some sort of story mode and I wanted to know how I could implement that in PUTT, without flaws story mode should at least be about 1 minute and 34 seconds long but the trial and error of the design makes the player replay it more, however I think I made it too difficult so in the end the player would just give up lol. There are cutscenes when you beat story mode, it's just a combination of animations that were originally planned to be played in the background of gameplay, but due to the limitations of Gamemaker 8.1 I couldn't implement it, so I just compiled them into the ending to leave up to interpretation on what happened to Putt, it makes it more fun for me too, I did add one exclusive frame which is the very last cutsense before the end screen but it's nothing too crazy either. Overall, I would like to revisit Putt one day but right now I'm working on two other projects and trust me they will be a lot more complex lol, thanks for playing!

@Codes5 looking forward to your next games
edit: this isnt the message i meant to reply to but you get it anyway lol
